Cost and Financing
We want to make the decision to receive orthodontic care affordable and can tailor a payment plan to fit your budget. Orthodontic treatment is an important investment and paying for it shouldn't be confusing. We are keenly aware that people have finite budgets. Juggling expenses is a fact of life. We are accustomed to working with families and individuals to make care affordable and budget-friendly. For your convenience, the majority of the total cost can be paid in interest-free monthly installments spread over the estimated treatment time. Monthly payments can be about the cost of a mobile phone plan, but the benefits last a lot longer.
Some patients choose to pay in full prior to treatment in order to take advantage of a prepayment discount. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express as well as personal checks and cash. We can also set up a monthly auto debit on your credit card. If you have orthodontic insurance, we will be glad to assist you in obtaining the maximum insurance benefits and, in most cases, we will accept assignment of benefits meaning your insurance company will pay us directly. Do you have a flexible spending account through your employer, or a health savings account if you are self-employed? Funds in those accounts can be used for orthodontic treatment. The bottom line is you have a variety of ways to make paying for your orthodontic care as easy as possible.
There is no charge for the initial examination. At that time Dr. Maldonado will discuss all of your options and will also be able to give you a general idea of the length and cost of treatment. We do charge for the diagnostic records which is payable at the time the records are taken (see First Visit). The cost of the braces is comprehensive and includes all appointments as well as the after-treatment retainers and retentions visits for up to one year following removal of your braces . Additional costs will be incurred for lost or broken retainers.
